Interesting Sites
Below are some sites which we think are interesting. Most are other projects which are trying to do something different like us. Check them out!

Shutterclock
A fantastic project which gets people around the world to take a photo at the same time and then looks at the varying results.
They say:
"Well ShutterClock organises a countdown to a specific time for participants to photograph. Everyone takes their picture and uploads the results to the gallery. We want people to come together as a simple community divided only by distance to globally capture their world at an organised time. In return we will see galleries of images from all over the world, taken at the same moment but from their point of view."

Find Me A Metalhead
My mate Currie's university project 'Find Me a Metalhead' is an online community for people into heavy metal music.
They say:
"FindMeAMetalHead.co.uk is a new online community web site that will allow metal musicians to search for bands who require new members, and alternatively allow, bands who need musicians to search for members. Reducing the time required finding the right people for your band, or the right band for you."

The Bubble Project
Very cool project where speech bubble stickers are stuck on posters and passers by then write funny comments on them.
They say:
"Once placed on ads, these stickers transform the corporate monologue into an open dialogue. They encourage anyone to fill them in with any form of self expression, free from censorship."

Brix
Cool photography project where people send in photos of anything and they are displayed on a wall. Based in Belfast, this is a project we like very much, check it out.
They say:
"Everyone with a camera-phone is invited to text us their best shots for inclusion in the on line gallery The Wall. You can give alternative titles to all the photos on the site, not just your own, and vote for your favorite images. The top rated photograph will win a fantastic mystery prize!"

One Thousand Paintings
We love this project! It's definitely one of those 'I wish I'd thought of it' situations. This person is selling 1,000 paintings with the numbers 1 to 1,000 on them. Each one is unique and is painted by hand.
They say:
"One thousand numbers = one thousand paintings. All beautifully painted on canvas (approx. 12 x 12 x 1.5 inches). Each number is unique - the number and the demand define the price. An experiment of art & mathematics, on the web, the first of its kind."

The Black Cubes
A cool art project where the artist is creating 999 black cubes but the interesting thing is that there is something inside each one and you're not allowed to open it.
They say:
"999 black wooden cubes. The shape, appearence and dimensions of all the 999 cubes are exactly the same. Inside every cube there is something... This thing has a precise sense while is closed in the cube. If you open the cube the meaning of this thing is irreparably lost. The only way to take possession of this meaning is to be inside the cube...But this is obviously impossible!"

The Chicago Tapes Project
A project which is uniting total strangers (which we love) via mixtapes. We love this idea and hope to make one, if we get the time.
They say:
"The Chicago Tapes Project is a public art/experimental sound project in which citizens exchange mixtapes, found sounds and original recordings via publicly hidden streetside stations. Any and all are encouraged to participate."
